A new year always brings an opportunity to talk about changes. Best Year Ever presents you with an opportunity to teach incredible habits to your preteens. Habits that infuse change. Preteens will enjoy the habits of connecting with God in reflection, repentance and renewal. They’ll experience God’s goodness as they reflect on what God has done in their lives over the last year. Students will discover that repentance frees them from guilt & bitterness and God’s renewal offers them a fresh start. Embrace the talk of change and give your preteens a chance to remember the past year and make the next year, the Best Year Ever.

The series includes “A Look Back at 2012″ PowerPoint game!
Kick off the series with a fun PowerPoint game. Preteens will enjoy taking a look back at 2012 in the world of culture, events and news. They’ll compete in teams to outguess their opponents. It is a great ice-breaker, getting preteens laughing and connecting with each other. It includes 10 questions, with fun multiple choice answers. Even if you don’t have PowerPoint, you can still play the game. Just ask the questions out loud!

Week 1: Reflect

Week 2: Release
Bible: Luke 15:11-32; Ephesians 4:31-32; 1 John 1:8-9
Bottom Line: When we release guilt and bitterness to God, we are forgiven.
Week 3: Renew
Bible: 1 John 1:8-9; 2 Peter 3:18; Colossians 3:5-17
Bottom Line: When we repent, we experience God’s renewal.
