Easter is right around the corner. Use this game as an opener for a preteen Easter service or an upcoming Easter event. We now provide Finger Launchers (otherwise known as finger missiles or finger rockets) on PreteenMinistry.net and are happy to get them to you in time for Easter. (Note: Please allow 3-5 business days for shipping)

The cool thing about Finger Launchers is you can use them over and over, even after Easter is over. Use them at upcoming events, camp and any time you get a group of preteens together. Once you make the investment, the fun continues for a long time!

Easter Finger Launcher Game

Supplies: Table, cups, Easter eggs filled with candy, and lots of Finger Launchers

Divide the group into two even halves, marked with a line down the middle of the playing area. Set up tables within each team’s playing area. On the tables, place lots of cups turned upside down with Easter eggs (filled with candy) sitting on top.

Give every player a finger launcher. On “go,” everyone shoots players on the opposing team – below the neck only. [Note: be sure to warn players not to hit in the face]. Once hit, the player is eliminated. If a player catches a finger launcher, the one who shot it is eliminated. Players also shoot the Easter eggs of the opposing team, attempting to knock them off the cups (or aim at the cups). If successful, an eliminated teammate can come back in and play.

Players are not allowed to cross the line to the other team. Players get a steady stream of “ammo” by picking up finger launchers off the ground. Continue until one team is completely eliminated and declare them the winning team. Continue playing as many rounds as you would like.

Award the winning team with the candy inside the Easter eggs.

SAY: Our game today involved Easter eggs. Why? Because Easter is right around the corner (or is today).

Discuss the following questions:

  • What’s your favorite thing about Easter?
  • What is the real meaning of Easter?
