The Power of Asking Questions

Have you ever had a preteen ask a question you could not answer?

On the other hand…

Have you ever asked a question and been blown away by the answers you got?

If so…

You’ve experienced “The Power of Asking Questions”.

In this episode of the Preteen Ministry Podcast we are talking with Sean Sweet from the Fourfivesix.org team and Elevate Preteen Ministry in California.

Sean loves to ask questions to his preteens and loves to get questions from them even more.

We talk about why it is so important to use questions to help get preteens start really thinking.

He lets us in on why we need to embrace an environment where asking questions is good and encouraged.

In this episode Sean shares with us how he challenges his small groups with a goal; to get preteens to ask questions that leaders can’t answer.

WOW!

Think about that for a second, as scary as that is, so how would you handle a question you could not answer?

If you get a preteen to ask a tough question, I bet that there are more with the same question.

About Rob Quinn (the host of the podcast)

It seems like I have been involved in preteen ministry before I even knew there was such a thing as preteen ministry. I currently volunteer as the coordinator/leader for the preteen ministry at Hopevale Church in Saginaw, Mi. called BRIDGE. I also serve in our middle school ministry, WIRED as a small group leader. I have had the privilege to write blogs, develop games, and write curriculum for PreteenMinistry.net. I am the host of our preteen podcast along with co-hosting the podcast on our sister site; Ministrytoyouth.com. I am married to an amazing woman Jodi, who just so happens to be the KidCity Director at Hopevale Church. I have a beautiful daughter Sydni, and an 8-pound attack dog named Lilly.
