Preteen Worship: Yancy

There aren’t a lot of resources out there for preteen worship. On a side note, I’m sort of experimenting with some worship ideas that go outside the “worship box”.  More about that in my post: Preteen Worship Ideas. One artist who has some fantastic preteen music/worship is YANCY. She rocks!

Yancy hits the nail on the head when it comes to preteens. While her music is appropriate from pre-K all the way through preteen, she’s one of the few that preteens like. I play her music before/after our preteen services all the time, as well as use her DVD’s for worship.  Preteens like her because she makes music that appeals to them.  And you got to admit, she’s got a great hair style, right?

Yancy just released a new CD/DVD:  Stars, Guitars & Megaphone Dreams. Churches use the DVE for their worship times, which include all the tracks and mpeg videos for all 12 songs. Each video is motion graphics on screen with the song lyrics, etc. to use with Media Shout, Pro Presenter or whatever presentation software you use.
